Welcome to Kodeznest, a digital platform designed to help students, agents, and hostel owners connect for the purpose of booking and renting hostels conveniently. By using Kodeznest (the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Definitions
“Kodeznest,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the Kodeznest platform and its operators.
“User” refers to any person accessing or using Kodeznest to find, book, or manage accommodation.
“Agent/Owner” means a verified individual or business listing and managing hostel or property rentals on the platform.
“Service” means any booking, listing, payment, or communication facilitated through Kodeznest.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kodeznest, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use Kodeznest. By creating an account, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

4. Account Registration
Users and agents must create accounts to access full features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and all activities under your account.
Kodeznest reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

5. Property Listings
Agents/Owners are responsible for ensuring all property details (price, photos, videos, location, amenities, etc.) are accurate and truthful.
Kodeznest reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any listing that violates community standards or legal requirements.

6. Bookings and Payments
All payments for bookings are made directly to Kodeznest’s official account or through its integrated payment gateways (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave).
Kodeznest temporarily holds funds until the booking is verified and then disburses the agreed amount to the property owner or agent after deducting applicable service charges or commissions.
Users must confirm their booking status before arrival; cancellations and refunds are subject to our refund policy (see Section 7).

7. Cancellations and Refunds
Users may cancel bookings before the check-in date as per the property’s policy.
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed by Kodeznest within a reasonable timeframe after confirmation.
Kodeznest reserves the right to withhold partial or full payment in case of false listings, no-shows, or disputes pending resolution.

8. Agent and Property Owner Obligations
Ensure all listed properties are safe, legal, and available for rent.
Respond promptly to user inquiries and booking requests.
Avoid misrepresentation or double-booking of rooms.
Comply with all applicable housing and business laws.

9. User Responsibilities
Provide truthful information when creating bookings.
Respect the property and rules set by the host or management.
Avoid fraudulent activities, abusive behavior, or misuse of the platform.

10. Commissions and Fees
Kodeznest may charge service or processing fees for transactions, which will be disclosed at the time of booking. Fees may change periodically with prior notice.

11. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including logos, designs, text, and software, belongs to Kodeznest. Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Kodeznest materials without permission.

12. Privacy and Data Use
By using Kodeznest, you consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required to deliver services or comply with the law.

13. Limitation of Liability
Kodeznest acts as a platform connecting users and property owners. We are not liable for:
Inaccurate property details provided by agents/owners.
Damages, losses, or injuries occurring on listed properties.
Payment delays or issues caused by third-party payment processors.
However, Kodeznest will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes fairly.

14. Termination
Kodeznest may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in unlawful activities. Users may also deactivate their accounts at any time by contacting support.

15. Changes to Terms
Kodeznest may update these Terms periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or app notifications. Continued use of the platform means acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
